Are You Being Called By Yes Online, Inc.? Here’s What You Need to Know

Are you getting daily calls from a debt collector who swears at you and calls you names? Do they call your family or your boss when they can’t reach you directly? They may try to convince you that these actions are legal, but don’t be fooled.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA, was passed in 1977 to protect consumers from being mistreated, but some collection agencies count on these debtors being unfamiliar with their rights and try to get payment by:

● Threatening to submit false information to the credit bureaus
● Ignoring your written dispute
● Saying that they can seize your social security or disability checks
● Yelling and swearing over the phone
● Refusing to provide you with information about the debt upon request
● Harassing you over a debt that isn’t yours

Company Profile: Yes Online, Inc.

If you are being called by Yes Online, Inc., additional agency details are below.

Yes Online, Inc., which also does business as Dynamic Legal Recovery, is a debt collection agency in Valencia, California. It started in 1995, has 10 people on staff, and is managed by Terry Taylor. Digital legal records indexed at the PACER website show that people who believed they were being harassed by Yes Online, Inc. acted on their ability to sue.

Alleged Violations against Yes Online, Inc.

According to PACER, in or around June 3, 2019, Yes Online, Inc. allegedly tried to collect a debt from an Illinois consumer by reporting a medical debt owed by her former husband and marking it as a joint debt. A collector then allegedly called her on June 4 and 6, but she insisted that she was no longer married and, at any rate, had never guaranteed the debt.

The consumer mailed a dispute letter to TransUnion, where the debt tradeline appeared, but Yes Online Inc. reported it as valid, and it remained.

Feeling harassed by Yes Online, Inc., the consumer got a free evaluation from a consumer lawyer and took legal action against the agency for:

● Using deceptive means to collect a debt
● Misrepresenting the legal status of the debt
● Reporting inaccurate information to TransUnion

As of May 2020, the case was still in progress.
