Are You Being Called By Servicing Solutions, LLC?*

There are laws that protect consumers, but collection agencies routinely violate them. Many debt collectors assume that you are not aware of your legal rights and that they can get away with abusing you. When that happens, take steps to file a claim against them.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) was passed in 1977 to stop abusive practices by third-party collection agencies. These debt collectors are required to follow specific guidelines when attempting to collect a debt and using strategies like those below can result in serious penalties.

  • Calling at all hours of the day and night
  • Demanding amounts not supported by law or the original creditor agreement
  • Discussing the debt with uninvolved third parties like your friends, family and neighbors
  • Saying a lawsuit is in progress when it isn’t
  • Using profane and obscene language
  • Calling before 8:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m. in your time zone
