Alleged Violations against RMI Management, LLC
According to PACER, on or about June 3, 2011, Red Rock Arizona, LLC, a subsidiary of RMI Management, LLC sent a debt collection letter to an Arizona resident. The demand, which was later introduced as an exhibit, did not provide the FDCPA-required disclosures, and, allegedly, no follow-up letter containing that information was received within five days. The letter also demanded payment within 10 days of receipt, which overshadowed his dispute rights.
Feeling harassed by RMI Management, LLC, he hired a consumer attorney and sued the company for allegedly violating the FDCPA by violating his dispute rights and failing to send a debt validation letter.
The matter was later settled.
