Are You Being Called By RGL Associates, Inc.?*

Every day, people across the country are being contacted by debt collectors who harass, bully, and in general, make their lives miserable. Upsetting as this is, the good news is that you don’t have to put up with it. When a collection agency goes too far, you can sue.

The FDCPA And How Your Rights Fall Under It

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) was passed to curb the ways that third-party debt collectors can interact with you. Under the FDCPA, you have the rightto dispute a debt and take legal action against a debt collector that:

  • Calling your place of emplyotment
  • Contacting you after you engage legal counsel with regards to the debt
  • Failing or refusing to validate the debt
  • Using Inappropriate language
  • Threatening consequences they cannot legally take
  • Discussing your debt with an Uninvolved third party
