Some debt collectors harass consumers despite the existence of a consumer protection law called the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Using methods like those below can cause an agency to lose its license.

  • Calling you several times a day, every day
  • Using profane and obscene language
  • Refusing or failing to validate the debt and prove that they are authorized to collect it
  • Calling you before 8:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m. in your time zone
  • Demanding amounts that are inflated by ‘service charges’
  • Ignoring a written request to cease contact

RevSolve, Inc. is a debt collection office located in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was established in 1968, has approximately 15 employees, and is managed by its President, Chris Becraft. It appears to specialize in collecting healthcare debt.

A review of litigation files retained by the PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) website suggest that many consumers who believed they were being harassed by RevSolve, Inc. hired attorneys and stood up for themselves in court.

Alleged Violations against RevSolve, Inc.

According to PACER, on or around July 25, 2017 RevSolve, Inc. called a Minnesota resident to collect a healthcare debt. He was advised that he could pay it online.

He authorized a payment of $200, which was taken from his account, but he soon received an alert that $1,063, which was the debt total, had also been removed. RevSolve Inc. allegedly took $1,263 to pay a $1,063 debt.

Feeling harassed by RevSolve, Inc., he hired a consumer attorney and sued the company for allegedly violating the FDCPA in the following ways:

  • Using false, deceptive and misleading means to collect a debt
  • Using unfair and unconscionable means to collect a debt

The matter was later dismissed.
