Today’s economy has caused many people to experience financial difficulty. When they lose their jobs or experience a medical emergency, they can be left unable to pay their debts. A lot of debt collectors don’t care about your financial crisis: they will abuse and harass you. If this happens to you, you can fight back.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA, protects indebted consumers from debt collector harassment. If you are dealing with a company that uses these types of actions to make you pay a debt, federal law allows you to sue for compensation.
