Are You Being Called By MagnUS Services, Inc.?

An estimated 25% of consumers have trouble paying their bills on time, and 8% have seen those debts sent out to third-party collection agencies. If other reports are accurate, many of these people will not be treated respectfully or fairly by debt collectors.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA, was passed in 1977 to ensure that third-party collection agencies treat consumers fairly. Unfortunately, a lot of them don’t. If you’re hounded by a debt collector who subjects you to any of the following, you have grounds to sue them.

● Using profane and obscene language
● Telling third parties such as friends and family that you owe a debt
● Misrepresenting their identity during collection efforts
● Leaving abusive and hostile phone messages
● Ordering you to pay a time-barred debt
● Threatening lawsuits or garnishment for not paying a debt
