Are You Being Called By LTD Financial Services?

Stop the
Harassment

You have legal rights. We can help.

Debt collectors have a reputation for using illegal pressure tactics to make debtors pay. They shout at people, call them incessantly at home and work, and making legal threats that cause sleepless nights. If this happens, call a consumer attorney for advice about seeking compensation.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA, controls the activity of third-party collection agencies. Actions like those below are illegal, and any company sanctioned for using them can lose their license and face thousands of dollars in fines.

● Leaving voice messages that do not identify them as debt collectors
● Calling anyone except you, your spouse, or attorney about the debt
● Using an autodialer to call your phone nonstop
● Trying to collect after you refuse to pay
● Demanding payment for a time-barred debt
● Disguising their identity on the phone to trick you into taking the call

Alleged Violations against LTD Financial Services*

According to information on the PACER website, on or around November 12, 2014, LTD Financial Services allegedly called the son of a California consumer on his cell phone and asked to speak to his mother. He replied that she was not there, but the agency allegedly called again on November 18, although the son insisted that this was not his mother’s number.

Feeling harassed by LTD Financial Services, the consumers hired an attorney and sued the company for:

● Contacting a third party for purposes other than obtaining location information
● Using false, deceptive, and misleading means to collect a debt

The matter was later settled.
