Liberty National Financial, which also does business as Liberty Processing Services, is a debt collection agency in Monroe, North Carolina. It opened its doors in 2017, has fewer than five employees, and is managed by Erin Fox. THe PACER website includes court records showing that people who felt harassed by Liberty National Financial sued successfully for compensation.

Alleged Violations against Liberty National Financial

According to PACER, on or around April 2, 2018, Liberty National Financial allegedly called a Michigan consumer to collect a payday loan debt that had been previously resolved. The caller allegedly left a voicemail that hinted at legal action if the debt was not paid.

Later that day, collectors also allegedly called the consumer’s brother and left a voicemail regarding the debt. When the consumer called Liberty National Financial, the person who answered allegedly said that the company was a litigation firm.

Feeling harassed by Liberty National Financial, the consumer got a free case review from a consumer lawyer before suing the company for

● Using an autodialer to call him
● Threatening legal action it could not take
● Sharing information about the debt with his brother

A court awarded the consumer $3,500 in damages.

If you see them on your caller ID at home or work, Liberty National Financial may be trying to collect a debt from you.
