Stop the
Harassment

You have legal rights. We can help.

Are debt collectors continuing to harass you after you tell them the debt is in dispute and to stop calling? Too many collection agencies will do anything to get your money, even break the law.

When debt collector misconduct causes you to become stressed, lose sleep, and experience other detrimental effects, it’s time to protect yourself.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA, specifies when and how a third-party debt collector can try to collect a debt from you. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Contacting you directly after you hire an attorney
  • Calling your friends and relatives and sharing details of your debt
  • Pretending to be from the sheriff’s office or another agency
  • Using profane and abusive language
  • Chasing you for a debt that was included in an earlier bankruptcy
  • Refusing to report a dispute to the credit bureaus
