According to the agency website, it specializes in recovering medical debt. Records at the PACER website confirm that individuals who believed that Elevate Recoveries, LLC was harassing them got a free case review from a consumer lawyer and sued.

Alleged Violations against Elevate Recoveries, LLC

According to PACER, in or around 2013, Elevate Recoveries, LLC sent a letter to a Florida consumer regarding a medical debt dating from 2011. She disputed it, saying that it would have been covered by her insurance. The agency allegedly forwarded a validation package that did not specify the amount owed, while the consumer had records stating that she owed nothing.

Feeling harassed by Elevate Recoveries, LLC, she hired a consumer lawyer and sued the agency for:

● Trying to deceive her into paying a nonexistent debt

The matter was later settled.
