If Dynamic Strategies, Inc. is harassing you over debt, read on to find out how to fight back!

Are you dealing with harassing calls from debt collectors? Are threatening messages being left on your phone? If so, you are understandably upset, but remember: you do not have to tolerate harassment. You have rights, and an attorney can help you assert them.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA, requires third-party debt collectors to behave professionally when collecting consumer debts.

Bullying tactics like those below are illegal, and can result in revocation of the agency’s license.

  • Maliciously reporting false information to the credit bureaus
  • Trying to collect more than the law and / or the original creditor agreement allow
  • Telling your friends and family that you owe money
  • Cursing and calling you names
  • Discussing your debt with uninvolved third parties
  • Using constant phone calls to annoy or harass you

Alleged Violations by Dynamic Strategies, Inc.

Plaintiff(s) vs. Dynamic Strategies, Inc. et al*

According to PACER, in or around late 2010, Dynamic Strategies, Inc. filed a collection lawsuit against Washington residents and obtained a default judgment, although the Plaintiffs did not live in the district where the lawsuit was filed.

A Writ of Garnishment was subsequently used to take money from the couple’s pay.

Feeling harassed by Dynamic Strategies, Inc., the Plaintiffs hired a consumer attorney and sued the company for allegedly violating the FDCPA in the following ways:

  • Using false, deceptive, and misleading means to collect a debt
  • Misrepresenting the character, amount, or legal status of the debt
  • Illegally garnishing their wages

The matter was later settled.
