Alleged Violations against Amity Associates, LLC*

According to information on the PACER website, on or around April 11, 2014, a New Jersey consumer checked his credit report and found that Amity Associates, LLC was reporting a medical debt. On April 25, he faxed a dispute letter and demanded debt verification, but allegedly never received either. When the consumer ran his credit report on June 6, he found that the debt was not reported as disputed.

Feeling harassed by Amity Associates, LLC, he filed a claim against the agency for failing to report that the debt was in dispute.

The matter was later settled.
