According to PACER, in or around early 2010, Recovery Partners, LLC allegedly tried to collect a consumer debt from a Maryland resident by calling her several times a day and frequently disconnecting the call as soon as she answered. The plaintiff also claimed that the callers failed to identify themselves or state they were calling to collect a debt, and persisted in contacting her after she told them that she was represented by an attorney and asked them to direct their calls to her attorney. On at least one occasion a debt collector allegedly threatened to report false information on her credit report.

Feeling harassed by Recovery Partners, LLC, the plaintiff hired a consumer attorney and sued the company for allegedly violating the FDCPA in the following ways:

Recovery partners has been calling multiple times a day everyday. They threatened to suspend my license, and now Recovery Partners is subrogating me
