Are You Being Called By Turnstile Capital Management, LLC?*

During economic downturns, people who were once able to manage their debt can become overwhelmed by it. Being laid off, lack of health insurance and diminished property values can all put you in a position where debt collectors start calling. Many of them will ignore state and federal laws that limit how far they can go to get your money.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is a federal law that prohibits debt collectors from threatening and manipulating consumers into paying a debt.

If you are being chased by a collection agency that uses the following strategies to make you pay, contact a consumer lawyer immediately.

  • Not reporting that a debt is in dispute
  • Pretending to be court officials or some other authority figure
  • Calling your friends and relatives to “look for” you when they already have your contact information
  • Saying that the sheriff is en route and the only way to prevent your arrest is to pay the debt
  • Calling you names
  • Calling and sending you letters when they know you are represented by an attorney
