According to PACER, on or about February 8, 2011, Rawlings Financial Services, LLC sent a collection letter to a North Carolina resident to collect a medical debt owed by her deceased husband.
On or about February 15, her attorney called Rawlings in reference to the account and spoke to “Ron” and informed him of the representation. This call was followed by another call and a fax, but on about March 29, 2011, Rawlings allegedly sent another collection letter directly to the consumer.
Feeling harassed by Rawlings Financial Services, LLC , she hired a consumer attorney and sued the company for allegedly violating the FDCPA by contacting her directly although she had legal representation.
The matter was later dismissed.
