According to PACER, in or around mid-2011, Plusfour, Inc. started contacting a Nevada resident to collect a debt. she later complained that the agency used an autodialer to contact her and routinely left automated messages on her answering machine.

Feeling harassed by Plusfour, Inc., she hired a consumer attorney and sued the company for allegedly violating the FDCPA in the following ways:

  • Using oppressive and abusive means to contact her
  • Failing to identify itself as a debt collector in all communications
  • Using false, deceptive, and misleading means to collect a debt
  • Failing to send a debt validation notice

The matter was later dismissed.
