According to PACER, in or around April, 2016, a Georgia resident began receiving collection calls on her cell phone from Performant Financial Corporation. This debt, however, belonged to someone else. Although she informed the agency of this fact, the calls continued. Each time she answered, she heard pauses and/or clicks and a delay at the beginning of the calls, suggesting that an autodialer was in use.
