BBB encourages you to check with the appropriate agency to be certain any requirements are currently being met.” GC services has approximately 5,700 employees and is managed by Mario Baddour, CEO & President.

According to its website, GC Services, for over 6 decades, “has earned a solid reputation as being a trusted provider of contact center outsourcing services.” The company additionally notes that it provides “ innovative outsourcing solutions tailor-made to improve operational efficiencies and meet business goals.”

Who does GC Services collect for?

GC Services notes that it collects for a variety of different businesses nationwide. Moreover, GC Services collects for automotive financing companies; banking and financial institutions that issue secured and unsecured auto loans, credit cards, property loans, commercial loans, lines of credit, personal loans, first and second mortgages, and home equity loans; government entities, including federal agencies, several municipal governments, and “all types of taxes, student loans, court fines, municipal debts, a multitude of state governmental debts, and commercial delinquencies of all types”; consumer retail lenders; student loan repayment assistance, including “loan rehabilitation, loan consolidation, administrative wage garnishment, administrative resolutions, and associated customer service”; utility service providers; telecommunications companies; tolls, parking, and traffic fines; and many other types of delinquencies.

In regards to its services, the company lists 3 main services on its website including customer care solutions, accounts receivable management, and back office solutions. The collections company states that “[their] qualified teams are dedicated to understanding your specific needs and tailoring solutions that seamlessly flow through and improve the operations of your organization.” GC Services adds, “we bring experience and efficiency to all of our projects so you can rest assured that we will always present your business in the best light.”

GC Services also lists its professional affiliations on its website. The company is in good standing with the International Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA International). GC Services also adds a compliance section on its website, explaining, “We have invested millions of dollars in our compliance structure in order to ensure the necessary controls are in place, and independently reviewed at least annually. We have earned the following certifications: SSAE 18 SOC 1 Type I, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI DSS 3.2.1.”

Though this company leaves information on their website regarding their compliance efforts, the company does not provide resources to website visitors regarding how they have practically met the professional standards imposed upon them.

How many complaints are there against GC Services?

As of June 2023, there are currently 47 complaints posted in the last 3 years on CCI’s BBB page, 7 of which were posted in the last 12 months. The complaints largely allege that the collections company has wrongfully charged consumers with debt, and will not respond to consumer’s attempts at contacting the collections company. Additionally, there are 7 customer reviews on the BBB, awarding the company an average 1 star review. Moreover, the BBB has posted a Notice of Government Action taken against GCS, but has recently removed said warning.
