According to PACER, on or around July 11, 2016, F.H. Cann & Associates, Inc. sent a collection letter to a New York resident seeking payment for a credit card debt allegedly owed to Santander Bank. The card accrued interest and late fees, but the letter failed to indicate whether those fees were continuing to accrue, leaving the plaintiff in the dark as to how much he actually owed. Feeling harassed by F.H. Cann & Associates, Inc., Inc., he hired a consumer attorney and sued the company for allegedly violating the FDCPA in the following ways:
