Is Dominion Law Associates Calling You?*

Is Dominion Law Associates calling you? Guard yourself from abuse!

If you are being hounded by debt collectors, it is important that you know your rights. Even if you owe the debt, you don’t have to tolerate harassment, coercion, or threats. The collectors may tell you differently, but in this particular instance the law is on your side.

Your Rights Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA, expressly prohibits third-party debt collectors from using pressure tactics like those below to bully consumers into paying a debt.

  • Maliciously reporting false information to the credit bureaus
  • Threatening legal action they have no intention of taking
  • Using profane and abusive language
  • Calling you at work after you tell them that you can’t take personal calls there
  • Refusing to prove that a debt exists and that they are authorized to collect it
