Are You Being Called By Cedars Business Services, LLC?*

Are you being contacted daily by debt collectors? Although this can be an alarming experience, understand that you are not alone. Most people carry some form of debt, whether it is a credit card balance or a mortgage, and repayment difficulties are common.

You are also protected by federal law if a collection agency goes too far.

The FDCPA and Your Rights

The FDCPA applies to third-party debt collectors, which are agencies hired by your creditors or other authorized parties to collect your debt. This consumer protection law prohibits them from using collection methods like those below.

  • Calling you after you have informed them you have an attorney
  • Saying they will garnish your wages without getting a court order first
  • Using abusive language over the phone or in person
  • Placing pre-recorded calls to your cell phone without your consent
  • Telling your friends, family, and people you work with that you owe money
