According to PACER, on or about July 11, 2014, Armada Corp. of Nevada sent a collection letter to a Nevada consumer seeking payment for a dental debt requesting payment owed to a dental office. The amount claimed was $639.07.

When she disputed the debt, the company sent her a debt verification letter listing the balance as $640.29. On October 15, 2014, Armada Corp. of Nevada filed a collection lawsuit against the consumer seeking an entirely different amount of $625.55.

Feeling harassed by Armada Corp. of Nevada, she hired an attorney and sued the firm for allegedly violating her rights by:

  • Using unfair and unconscionable means to collect a debt
  • Using false, deceptive, and misleading means to collect a debt

The matter was later settled.
